EMANA receives work teams throughout the year to assist with the construction and maintenance of the Kusayapu school. The work team experience includes activities in the area as well as speakers, to give team members a good understanding of EMANA's mission through Kusayapu Agricultural Institute. Construction work is mainly done with cement block.
In addition to construction work teams, we are also in need of medical/dental teams to provide medical care to our students and to people in different villages in northern Chile. We would also like to begin receiving groups or individuals interested in helping with our new eye glass ministry. Please see the Integral Health Project link for more information regarding these needs.
We are in need of work teams for 2006 & 2007 in order to start the administrative buildings of the school. If anyone is interested in leading
a team or joining a team, please contact EMANA
(
).
Long-term volunteers are also needed for Kusayapu and other district projects of the Methodist Church in the northern district.
Anyone who speaks Spanish, can witness to Christ in their lives, and enjoys working with teenagers is needed to work with Kusayapu students, providing a Christian witness and helping with activities with the students, especially on weekends.
If you are interested in joining us as an Individual Volunteer and will be applying from North America, contact the United Methodist Church Individual Volunteer Program at http://gbgm-umc.org/vim/indvol/program.htm.
In the United Kingdom and Europe, you may apply by contacting USPG at http://www.uspg.org.uk/missionary.html
